Job Description
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Digital Media, Graphic Design, or other related field. Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in digital communications, including social media management, content curation, website content administration, or internal communications. Requires demonstrated experience creating written and visual digital content for public‑facing or internal audiences using content management systems and graphic design tools. Experience working in a healthcare, public sector, or similarly regulated environment is preferred but not required. Essential Functions of the Position Digital & Social Media Communications Develop, curate, schedule, and manage compelling social media content that supports public education, brand awareness, service updates, and organizational initiatives. Serve as the primary curator of digital storytelling, identifying content opportunities, repurposing internal and external material, and ensuring consistent tone and messaging across all platforms. Monitor social media channels for engagement, trends, and emerging issues; respond or escalate inquiries as appropriate. Analyze social media performance metrics and provide regular reports, insights, and recommendations to Public Affairs leadership. Ensure all digital content aligns with EMSA brand standards, messaging strategy, accessibility guidelines, and compliance requirements. Website Content & Maintenance Maintain and update EMSA's public-facing website to ensure accuracy, relevance, usability, and accessibility. Coordinate with internal departments to gather, curate, and publish timely website content, including service updates, announcements, and educational materials. Assist with content audits, page organization, and ongoing improvements to enhance user experience and information clarity. Internal Communications Manage EMSA's internal communications channels to support employee engagement, operational awareness, and organizational alignment. Develop, curate, and distribute internal announcements, digital messages, and visual communications in collaboration with Public Affairs leadership and internal stakeholders. Ensure internal messaging is timely, clear, accurate, and aligned with organizational priorities and culture. Graphic Design & Creative Services Design digital and print materials including social media graphics, website visuals, flyers, signage, presentations, and internal communications assets. Apply EMSA brand standards to all creative work, ensuring consistency in visual identity, tone, and quality. Provide creative and design support to Public Affairs and other departments as needed. Other Functions of the Position The position requires frequent attention to detail, meeting deadlines, and adapting to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics Knowledge of healthcare and public‑sector digital communications, including social media, content curation, website management, and internal communications in regulated environments. Skill in creating clear, accurate, and engaging digital and visual content that supports public education, workforce messaging, and organizational transparency while adhering to brand and accessibility standards. Ability to translate complex clinical, operational, or system‑level information into audience‑appropriate messaging for internal and external stakeholders. Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt in a fast‑paced, service‑driven environment. Ability to collaborate effectively across departments, exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and uphold ethical and compliance standards expected in a healthcare setting. Must be available to travel independently between OKC and Tulsa. High level of discretion, integrity, and professionalism. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), learning management systems, and comfort with learning new technology platforms. Ability to support events or training outside core hours, as needed. Supervisory Responsibilities This position does not have supervisory or management responsibilities of other employees. Physical Demands Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and ambulate unassisted throughout the office facilities. Occasional lifting of materials up to 25 lbs. and up to 100 lbs. push/pull of a cart with wheels. Frequent use of computer and office equipment and other repeating motions that may include wrists, hands, and fingers. Ability to travel independently between Tulsa and Oklahoma City as needed. Work Environment Work regularly performed in a temperature-controlled office setting. The noise level is frequently quiet with minimal exposure to more intense volumes. This position is required to frequently meet deadlines, work with changing priorities, and assess the accuracy and completeness of work on a regular basis. Travel between Tulsa Oklahoma City on a regular basis, including occasional overnight stays. Occasional "ride-alongs" with Field Supervisors and/or Field Crews. The role involves exposure to confidential or sensitive information, requiring a high level of discretion and professionalism. Standard work hours are typically during regular business hours, with occasional extended hours (or weekends) based on organizational needs or project timelines.
