Job Description
Social Media Assistant (Intern) Are you passionate about photography, digital storytelling, and building online communities? OM Digital Solutions (OM SYSTEM) is seeking a motivated and creative Social Media Assistant to support our Marketing team until March 30, 2027 (20 hours per week) in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. This role is a hybrid position. In this role, you will assist with the planning and execution of content across our regional social media accounts. What you'll do: Primary Responsibilities (50%) Maintain a content calendar based on direction from line managers Publish Instagram stories to maintain strong audience engagement Write compelling captions using relevant camera terminology and clear calls-to-action (CTAs) Generate and edit digital content using Canva and CapCut to support multi-channel marketing initiatives Curate user-generated content and customer photography Research trending audio, content formats, and photography-related hashtags Community Engagement (25%) Respond to direct messages Engage with camera enthusiast accounts Actively participate in photography and camera communities Monitor brand mentions and interact with tagged content Respond to story replies and initiate engaging conversations Strategy & Analytics (25%) Track daily Instagram Insights metrics Analyze top-performing reels and posts Monitor competitor accounts and industry trends; research emerging camera gear and photography developments, and report findings monthly to the line manager Prepare detailed monthly performance reports What you'll need: Currently enrolled as a student pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field Availability to work 20 hours per week until March 30, 2027 Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus Strong understanding of advertising, public relations, marketing communications, social media, trade marketing, creative production, and media analysis Knowledge of consumer products, consumer electronics, or photography is preferred Proficient user of MS Office, Canva, CapCut, and other standard office software Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of management
