Job Summary:
The Social Content Specialist is responsible for developing and producing high-performing short-form video content across West Shore Home's digital and social media channels. Reporting to the Video Production Manager, this role sits at the intersection of platform strategy, visual storytelling, and brand identity—driving awareness, engagement, and lead generation through content optimized for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and emerging channels. The Specialist collaborates cross-functionally with Marketing, Creative Services, and Sales teams to translate product benefits, customer stories, and promotional messaging into compelling, platform-native content at pace.
Key Role Accountabilities:
Concept, script, shoot, and edit short-form video content (15-90 seconds) for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other emerging platforms, ensuring brand consistency and adherence to platform best practices. Develop and maintain a content calendar aligned to promotional priorities, seasonal campaigns, and integrated marketing initiatives; partner with Creative Services leadership to sequence and prioritize production. Monitor platform trends, trending audio, algorithm shifts, and competitor content strategies, translating insights into timely content ideas and format experiments. Manage end-to-end short-form production—including concept development, on-location and in-studio shoots, talent coordination, and post-production—with minimal oversight and within established timelines. Analyze content performance using platform analytics and reporting tools; apply data-driven insights to continuously refine content strategy, posting cadence, and format selection.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience considered. 2+ years of professional experience producing short-form video content for social platforms required; experience in a corporate or agency environment preferred. Demonstrated proficiency with camera-based and mobile video capture; advanced editing skills in Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, or equivalent professional tools required.
