Job Description
Responsibilities About the team E-commerce's Governance and Experience is a global team responsible for ensuring our marketplace is safe and trustworthy for users, sellers, and creators. We value user satisfaction and work on policies, rules, and systems to ensure quality. The USDS Risk Control and Security team within GNE focuses on fighting various forms of fraud and abuse within the TikTok Shop ecosystem via insight generation, scaled enforcement, automation, and prevention. About the role As an Anti-Fraud Analyst, you will be responsible for investigating, analyzing, and deep diving into various types of fraudulent activity within TikTok's e-commerce platform. You will use the insights that you discovered to build automated detection and enforcement rules, improve operational efficiency, and work cross-functionally to push for policy and product enhancements to close known fraud loopholes. You will also develop and track key metrics to monitor progress. The position ensures that the business complies with US regulations and relevant laws, helps mitigate risk, and ensures adherence to company policies and procedures. Responsibilities
- Leverage data analysis tools and query databases to conduct risk/fraud investigations. Gather and analyze data and trends to draw out key insights, document them, and then recommend policy, process, and product improvements.
- Conduct timely root cause analyses on emerging fraud trends and escalations, documenting findings to inform and initiate policy, process, and product improvements.
- Maintain our enforcement rules and policies to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Dive into the business and dig into user behavior to identify abnormalities. Develop regulations, models and risk control strategies for policy violations based on business requirements.
- Develop key metrics to track progress and monitor fraud trends
- Create standard operating procedures as needed for scaled manual operations workflows
- Provide training and guidance to other team members on fraud detection and prevention techniques. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
- 2+ years of hands-on and in-depth experience in fraud and risk detection, enforcement, and investigations.
- Proficient in MySQL or other querying languages.
- Strong ability to analyze, manipulate, and identify insights from quantitative and qualitative data.
- Experience with creating rules or models to automate fraud detection or enforcement
- Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving.
- Experience managing projects and coordinating with regional and cross-functional partners.
- Strong work ethic and demonstrated ability to work independently and navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with LLM prompt engineering or LLM agent development
