Job Description

Graphic Design and Social Media Academy Internship The Stanford Asian Liver Center (ALC) is seeking a motivated and creative college student or recent graduate to join our internship program for the 2026-2027 academic year. The Graphic Design Intern will support ALC's public health education, awareness campaigns, and outreach initiatives through engaging print, digital, social media, and motion graphics. This is an opportunity to build professional design experience while contributing to ALC's mission to increase awareness of hepatitis B screening and treatment, reduce liver disease and liver cancer deaths, and fight the stigma associated with chronic hepatitis B.
Internship Details Internship period:
Start date to be determined upon hire; internship ends June 3, 2027.
Stipend:
Performance-based stipend of up to $2,000 upon successful completion of the internship.
Hours:
Up to 10 hours per week during business hours, Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:30 PM.
Location:
Palo Alto, CA.
Work arrangement:
Hybrid, with both onsite and remote work. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the interview.
Weekly meeting:
One-hour team meeting at a mutually agreed-upon time. Duties Create print and digital materials, including brochures, flyers, presentations, infographics, advertisements, web graphics, and email marketing materials. Create social media graphics and visual materials for public health campaigns. Create online animations and motion graphics. Update existing brochures, flyers, and other materials as needed. Support ALC campaigns, projects, and designated outreach events. Work closely with Youth Leadership Interns and ALC staff on the Youth Leadership Conference (YLC). Collaborate with staff on print and digital materials for outreach, corporate communications, and marketing. Assist with preparing, organizing, and packaging brochures and other materials for outreach events. Work with vendors and suppliers to help maintain marketing material inventory. Organize and maintain graphic files for production, distribution, and archiving. Receive design feedback and make revisions as needed. Carefully proof materials before final production or publication. Attend and participate in designated outreach events as required. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications & Requirements Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia Design, or a related field . Eligible to work in the United States. Portfolio required. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator . Experience with After Effects and/or Premiere Pro is preferred. Good understanding of layout, typography, color, and visual hierarchy. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established brand guidelines. Willingness to learn, receive feedback, and make revisions. Strong communication, organization, and follow-up skills. Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet project deadlines. Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively with a team. Basic web design skills are a plus.
