The Mount Desert Chamber of Commerce is seeking an energetic, community-minded Membership Director to help us promote, support, and engage our members. In this role you will build strong relationships with existing members, attract new members, support Chamber events and programs, and create marketing and social media content. Part-time, 20-25 hours per week Flexible hybrid schedule with a mix of remote work, community outreach, and occasional evening and weekend events
Salary:
$28,000-$30,000 per year, depending on experience Bonus opportunity tied to membership growth and retention goals Two weeks paid vacation and 10 paid holidays Mileage reimbursement for local travel Reports directly to the Chamber Board President We're looking for someone with: Strong interpersonal and communication skills Experience in sales, customer service, marketing, nonprofit work, or membership organizations Excellent organizational and time-management abilities Comfort working independently and managing multiple projects Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, QuickBooks Online, and social media platforms. Chamber of Commerce or association experience is a plus A degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field is preferred, along with two or more years of relevant experience.
