Description Position:
PR Strategist for Carnegie International Students Institute Corporation HQ office in Pittsburgh, PA Full time, Telecommuting permitted anywhere in the US, occasional travel to HQ office required Job duties: Develop and implement multimedia public relations strategies grounded in advanced media theory, cross-cultural communication principles, and institutional branding guidelines to promote the Institute's mission and programs to international student communities. Create and coordinate the production of high-quality written and visual communication materials, including press releases, newsletters, and digital content, applying advanced media production techniques and visual communication theory to ensure consistent organizational messaging across diverse cultural platforms. Serve as the primary point of contact for external media outlets and educational partners, applying specialized knowledge in media relations and international communications to maintain and cultivate relationships that enhance the Institute's public image and outreach efficiency. Manage official communication channels, including social media platforms and email marketing systems, using advanced audience segmentation, content performance metrics, and platform analytics to improve engagement and dissemination of institutional messaging. Monitor and analyze international education trends and media coverage; use data-driven insights to evaluate the effectiveness of PR campaigns and prepare professional analytical reports to support leadership's communication planning. Coordinate co-branded initiatives and outreach events with external vendors and partner organizations to expand the Institute's influence. Perform day-to-day administrative tasks, maintaining media contact databases and information files within the organization's CRM and office systems to ensure streamlined communication workflows.

Master's Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, plus 2 years' experience as Software Developer or related IT position required.
Job Requirements:
Master's Degree in Media Studies, Media Arts, Visual Arts Administration or related, and 6 months of experience in PR planning, digital storytelling, social media management, content creation, video production and using Canva, CapCut, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Suite and WordPress. Part-time equivalent experience accepted. Telecommuting permitted anywhere in the US, occasional travel to HQ office required.
