Social Media Specialist

Job Summary The Cat House on the Kings is California's largest no-cage, no-kill, lifetime cat sanctuary and adoption center. We are currently seeking a talented Social Media Specialist to join our marketing team and contribute to the visual identity of our life-saving Sanctuary and Adoption Centers. As a Social Media Specialist with The Cat House on the Kings, you will have the opportunity to translate ideas into captivating visuals that'll resonate with our target audience.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the marketing team to create graphics, videos, and other marketing assets for social media. Maintain brand consistency across all social media channels. Stay current on social media trends, platform updates, and industry best practices. Manage multiple social media accounts while meeting deadlines and quality standards. Monitor and respond to social media comments, messages, and inquiries. Develop content plans, shot lists, campaign content, and social media calendars. Attend fundraising events to capture photo and video content as needed. Create and organize post plans, shot lists, and campaign content schedules. Plan, schedule, and publish content across social media platforms.

Qualifications:

Strong understanding of social media marketing and SEO Portfolio required Proficient in networking platforms, Canva, and similar creative software Basic knowledge of video production/editing, photo editing, and design principles Strong eye for creativity, detail, and visual composition Excellent communication and teamwork skills Strong writing skills with proper grammar and spelling Knowledge of major social media platforms including

Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok Youtube Preferred:

1+ year of experience managing social media accounts
