Role Overview Cruise.com is seeking a creative and motivated Social Media Specialist to support and grow our social media presence across platforms. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in social media who is passionate about travel, content creation, and staying ahead of digital trends. This individual will play a key role in executing our social media strategy by managing content calendars, developing engaging posts, and collaborating across teams to bring marketing campaigns and cruise line promotions to life. The role requires both creativity and organization - someone who can think outside the box while also managing multiple priorities and assets effectively. In addition to managing Cruise.com's social channels, this role will support our affiliate partners by helping them build and improve their own social media presence through training, tools, and content guidance. Duties and Responsibilities Social Media Management & Content Creation Manage day-to-day social media activity across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and other relevant channels. Develop and maintain a monthly social media content calendar aligned with marketing campaigns, cruise line promotions, and business priorities. Write engaging, on-brand copy for all social media posts. Create and edit visual assets (images and basic video content) to accompany social posts. Monitor social trends and identify opportunities to create timely, relevant, and engaging content. Collaborate with internal marketing team members to align social content with broader campaigns and initiatives. Content & Asset Management Manage and organize cruise line image libraries to ensure easy access to up-to-date, high-quality visual assets. Select and curate visuals that align with specific campaigns, destinations, and cruise offerings. Ensure all content is accurate, brand-compliant, and aligned with promotional messaging. Strategy Execution & Collaboration Execute social media strategies based on marketing plans, incentives, and promotions. Participate in marketing meetings and contribute ideas for social content and campaigns. Work cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and affiliate teams to support overall business goals. Affiliate Support & Training Assist in training affiliate partners on how to effectively use and grow their social media presence. Develop simple guidelines, tools, and best practices for affiliates to follow. Support affiliates in creating and sharing content aligned with Cruise.com campaigns and promotions. Requirements 2-3 years of experience in social media management or content creation. Must have a strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices. Must have hands-on experience creating content using tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, and other social media management and design platforms. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must love social media and have a genuine passion for content creation and staying on top of trends. Must have a valid, current passport. Preferred Qualifications Cruise line or travel industry experience. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
