This role serves as the voice of the brand, creating and managing relevant, engaging, and culturally aware content that resonates with consumers while maintaining brand integrity and company values. Responsibilities include planning and managing content calendars, publishing social posts, supporting paid social campaigns, managing promotions and contests, and developing short-form branded video and other digital content. The Strategist will actively engage with online communities, monitor trends and conversations, and identify opportunities to increase brand relevance, awareness, and consumer loyalty. Success in this role requires a strong understanding of platform nuances, audience behaviors, tone, and evolving social trends. This position partners closely with Marketing, Ecommerce, and Sales teams to deliver consistent, best-in-class consumer communication and brand experiences across all digital touchpoints. The ideal candidate is creative, strategic, highly collaborative, and passionate about building meaningful relationships between consumers and brands through authentic storytelling and engagement.
Hybrid Work Schedule:
This role currently follows a hybrid schedule, with remote work on Mondays and Fridays and in-office collaboration Tuesday through Thursday. Our office is located in LaPorte, IN.
Essential Job Functions:
Develop and Execute Strategic Plan for Brands. Work with team to coordinate, manage and post monthly social media plans. Day-to-day social listening and tracking of consumer sentiment. Engaging with the ALC brand communities daily and actively responding to fans across social channels and branded digital touch points. Work with creative team to develop brand positioning concepts for online creative campaigns. Manage monthly social media advertising budget (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, etc.) while communicating changes and invoice details to internal teams. Identify trends among social media platforms/technologies, determine best opportunities for brand involvement and deliver happy consumer experiences through creative content (i.e. Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.) Work with team to identify opportunities to build engagement with online community; includes working with current agencies on new engagement opportunities and vetting potential third party partners. Develop, track and measure specific Brand(s) KPIs and goals. Create social media slides to share out plans and results, explaining the "why". Travel to events to capture content in real time Utilize social media monitoring software to manage real-time consumer communications and provide the team with up-to-date feedback on activity. Analyze data from social media monitoring software and create reports based on actionable insights to help team make informed decisions. Monitor competitor movements in social media space and assist team in developing insights and strategies. Work with Brand Team to develop social media co-promotions and partnerships. Distribute content across all channels and measure success. Monitor social communities to ensure user generated content is appropriate and positive. Work with Finance and Accounting to manage POs and contracts with service providers and agencies related to role. (Meta, Sprout, etc.) Work with the brand teams to manage the budget lines for social media related projects. Work with brand teams and manufacturing on contest prize fulfillment and logistics for social media events. Work with the Marketing team to establish and refine consistent community engagement best practices surrounding the use of social media channels. Daily Responsibilities Develop, schedule, and publish engaging content across all social platforms Manage and maintain the social media content calendar to ensure timely, consistent, and on-brand communication Create compelling captions, posts, stories, reels, and short-form video concepts aligned with brand voice and marketing objectives Monitor social channels daily and actively engage with consumers through comments, messages, and community interactions Identify trending topics, cultural moments, and social trends to create relevant and timely content opportunities Collaborate with Marketing, Ecommerce, Sales, and Creative teams to support campaigns, product launches, and promotions Coordinate and execute social contests, giveaways, influencer collaborations, and user-generated content initiatives Monitor brand sentiment and escalate consumer concerns or opportunities when needed Track, analyze, and report on social media performance metrics including engagement, reach, audience growth, and conversions Optimize content strategies based on analytics, audience insights, and platform performance Assist in managing paid social campaigns Ensure all social content aligns with brand standards, company values, and brand strategy Stay current on platform updates, algorithm changes, emerging tools, and best practices in social media marketing Capture and/or coordinate real-time content opportunities during events, launches, or campaigns Maintain organized digital assets, content libraries, and campaign documentation Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Digital Media, or related field preferred or equivaelent work experienced. 3+ years of experience managing social media platforms for consumer brands, agencies, or lifestyle brands Proven experience developing and executing social media strategies across Meta (Facebook & Instagram), TikTok, YouTube, and emerging platforms Strong understanding of social media trends, platform algorithms, audience engagement, and best practices Experience creating and managing content calendars and coordinating cross-functional campaigns Demonstrated ability to write compelling, on-brand copy with strong understanding of tone, voice, and storytelling Experience with short-form video content, influencer collaborations, contests, and community management Familiarity with paid social advertising and campaign performance metrics preferred Proficiency with social media management and analytics tools (Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, etc.) Ability to analyze engagement and performance data to optimize content and campaigns Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills Creative thinker with strong cultural awareness and ability to identify emerging trends and consumer insights Passion for consumer engagement, brand building, and creating authentic digital experiences
