Department USD-Center for Teaching & Learning Physical Location of Position (City) Vermillion Posting Text The Center for Teaching and Learning is searching for a Digital Accessibility Specialist to assist in training faculty and staff, support remediation efforts, and engage in a higher level of digital accessibility than is currently feasible with limited resources. This position is responsible for supporting USD's digital accessibility efforts through technological support and bridging the gap between what staff and faculty are doing to make USD digital spaces accessible and student usability for digital spaces.
Preferred Qualifications:
Two or four year degree in education, educational technology, digital accessibility, assistive technology, accessible web design, or similar field. Experience with Adobe software (specifically, Adobe Acrobat Pro.) Experience with accessibility testing tools such as SiteImprove, Panorama, WebAim, etc. Experience using assistive technologies including but not limited to: NVDA, Natural Readers, JAWS, VoiceOver, Narrator, Talkback, etc. Experience conducting accessibility reviews using
WCAG 2.1
