Why you'll love this job We're looking for a Specialist, Social Media Engagement to grow our brand presence and enhance our narrative in social channels by leveraging influencers and brand advocates to amplify our storytelling. You'll be responsible for curating and managing all aspects of our partnerships with content creators and influencers to create social programming that enhances our narrative in social channels. This job is a member of the Social Media Engagement team within the Corporate Communications Division. What you'll do As noted above, this list is intended to reflect the current job but there may be additional essential functions (and certainly non-essential job functions) that are not referenced. Management will modify the job or require other tasks be performed whenever it is deemed appropriate to do so, observing, of course, any legal obligations including any collective bargaining obligations. Curate influencers and content creator strategies and partnerships that build and promote content for American Airlines ensuring brand safety, fit and alignment to commercial objectives. Work with agency to manage influencer contractual negotiations to maximize partnership value. Align with marketing comms strategy teams on content objectives. Write influence content briefs and review/edit influencer content. Maintain Influencer Playbook keeping all guidelines, legal requirements up to date. Manage all aspects of influencer travel including coordinating with the operation to provide proper notifications/ clearance. Determine best ways to leverage influencer content including how we amplify or leverage content in paid and organic channels. Partner with brand and creative teams to curate licensed imagery and assets to enhance content library. Participate in managing the social content calendar and writing/editing copy for social channels Curate and communicate content to leadership team members for them to amplify in their social channels. Proactively provide leadership with best practice recommendations and insights to increase social presence. Identify and engage internal and external influencers/advocates and seek user generated content in support of messaging. Participate in out of hours activities and travel as required. All you'll need for success Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or equivalent experience/training 2-3 years social media, content and/or paid media experience with a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects Skills, Licenses & Certifications Knowledge of and experience with various social media platform tools, Adobe and Google analytics, link tracking tools Organized, accountable, and action-oriented Experience with budget management and contract negotiation Strong attention to detail and analytical skills Culture-obsessed. Someone who lives and breathes social and has a special place in their heart for trending topics Agile and able to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines Creative and media agency management experience Solid understanding of traditional media KPIs and measurement with the ability to leverage data to drive decision-making. Strong executive presence and ability to communicate to senior leaders.
