Summer 2026-Spring 2027Description:
As a Social Media Intern with the Virginia Neptunes Basketball Club you will gain valuable experience and insight into the inner workings of a professional basketball organization. You will work closely with our front office personnel, and staff to support various aspects of team operations.Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Game Day Operations:
- Assist operations set-up, marketing laisson, and gameday logistics, including media relations 2.
Basketball Support:
- Attend team practices and assist staff with logistical support. 3.
Administrative Tasks:
- Assist the Head of Marketing with various administrative tasks, including scheduling, travel arrangements, and other logistical support. 4.
Community Outreach:
- In conjunction with The President of Basketball Operations develop and execute a community outreach program, Neptune Organization events and assist with youth basketball clinics and camps.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program, preferably with a focus on Sports Management, Business Administration, Media, Marketing, or a related field.
- Knowledge of basketball business marketing and a passion for working with the public.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and game days.
