Position Overview:
The Administrative Assistant for the Experiential Learning Program is responsible for coordinating the daily operations and logistics of the XLP program at Mason High School. This role involves managing student data, documentation, and field trip logistics while collaborating with staff and guiding student leadership to ensure the delivery of meaningful real-world Learning opportunities. This position is a 217 work day position.
Key Responsibilities:
Performance Responsibilities 1. Supports the implementation and daily operations of Experiential Learning Programming at Mason High School. 2. Blends administrative coordination and program logistics to ensure meaningful, real
  • world learning opportunities for students.
3. Tracks and maintains results and participation data for the Experiential Learning Program. 4. Organizes documentation and ensures accurate record keeping. 5. Supports reporting and internal communication regarding program outcomes. 6. Manages logistical steps for booking field trips and experiential activities. 7. Coordinates student permission slips and required documentation. 8. Collaborates with school staff to ensure proper attendance procedures are followed and supports communication between teachers, students, and administration. 9. Guides and assists the student leadership team with daily backend tasks. 10. Supports student use of Schoology for communication and organization while fostering student ownership and responsibility within the program. 11. Helps students communicate effectively with peers regarding experiential opportunities. Required Qualifications ? Associate's or Bachelor's degree in education, administration, communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience). ? Strong organizational and time-management skills. ? Excellent written and verbal communication skills. ? Experience working with students in an educational setting. ? Proficiency with Google Workspace or similar digital tools.
Terms of Employment:
Classified, 217 days and/or as defined by the Board.
Evaluation:
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Classified Personnel.
