Mason Tender

Responsibilities:

• Assist masons in the construction and repair of structures, including but not limited to buildings, walls, and floors
• Mix mortar and grout according to specifications
• Prepare and clean work areas, including removing debris and setting up scaffolding
• Carry and distribute materials and tools to masons as needed
• Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts or hoists to transport materials
• Assist with the installation of tile, drywall, stucco, or other finishing materials
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, or other construction documents
• Perform basic carpentry tasks such as trim carpentry or metal stud framing

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a mason tender or in a similar role is preferred but not required
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods of time
• Familiarity with construction tools and equipment
• Basic knowledge of masonry techniques and materials
• Ability to read and understand blueprints or schematics
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced masons
• Valid driver's license is a plus
