Masonry Laborer - Block Layer -Foundations Lehighton, PA 3 DAYS AGO 22553903 Summary Lehighton, PA In-Person $20.00 - $25.00 per Hour 1 Years Experience High school graduate or equivalency certificate (GED) No Commission 40.00 hours per week / Day Shift / Full-Time Description Position Overview The Masonry Laborer assists skilled masons with laying concrete block for foundation walls, footers, and structural builds. This role includes site preparation, mortar mixing, material handling, and supporting all phases of block installation. Ideal for candidates with strong physical stamina and experience in construction or masonry support. Key Responsibilities Block Laying — Assist masons in placing, leveling, and aligning concrete block for foundation walls and structural builds. Mortar Mixing — Mix mortar to proper consistency and maintain a steady supply during block work. Material Handling — Load, unload, and stage block, mortar, rebar, and tools for efficient workflow. Site Preparation — Prepare job sites, set up scaffolding, and ensure proper layout for block foundation work. Tool Operation — Use masonry tools such as trowels, levels, jointers, and masonry saws under supervision. Rebar & Footing Support — Assist with placing reinforcement materials and preparing footings for block installation. Cleanup & Maintenance — Maintain clean, organized work areas and perform end-of-day cleanup. Safety Compliance — Follow all job-site safety rules, PPE requirements, and company procedures. Qualifications Experience in masonry, block laying, or general construction preferred Ability to lift 50-80 lbs and perform physically demanding labor Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team Basic understanding of masonry tools and materials is a plus Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn Core Skills Physical Strength & Stamina Attention to Detail Teamwork Problem Solving Safety Awareness Additional Details
