Job description Tea Spa Wellness is looking for full-time and part-time massage therapists to join our team. Must be licensed in Maryland. Be able to work at least two days among Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, in addition to other weekdays as needed. Commission with bonus. We looking for people who have the heart to serve and the skills to deliver outstanding massages. Great career opportunity and career path ahead. Duties Perform therapeutic massages of soft tissues and joints for clients to help relieve pain, rehabilitate injuries, improve circulation, and promote overall wellness. Assess clients' medical histories and conditions to determine appropriate massage techniques and treatment plans. various massage techniques such as deep tissue, trigger point therapy, and Swedish massage to address specific client needs. Provide guidance to clients on stretching exercises and relaxation techniques to enhance the benefits of massage therapy. Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and billing information. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as chiropractors or physical therapists, to develop comprehensive treatment plans for clients. Stay informed about current trends and advancements in massage therapy through continuing education and professional development.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology. Proficiency in assessing clients' needs through patient assessment techniques. Ability to provide acute pain management and develop personalized treatment plans. Excellent patient service skills with the ability to establish rapport and build trust with clients. Proficient in performing deep tissue massage techniques to alleviate chronic pain and tension. Familiarity with occupational health practices and protocols. Strong understanding of pain management principles and techniques. Ability to adapt massage techniques based on individual client needs and preferences.
