Job Description
Join a Mission-Driven Institution with Strong, Stable Work Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSHL) is seeking a highly skilled Master Electrician to support critical infrastructure across our campus. This is an opportunity to bring your expertise to a respected, mission-driven organization where quality work, safety, and professionalism are valued every day. We are looking for experienced electricians who take pride in their craft, understand the importance of doing the job right, and are comfortable working in a collaborative, professional environment alongside engineers, scientists, and facilities teams.
- Plans, constructs, installs, troubleshoots, and tests electrical systems for new construction, building renovation, and building modification.
- Routes and installs signal lines for telephones, computer networks, and other communication systems.
- Performs all required preventative and corrective maintenance to electrical systems and components on Laboratory grounds.
- Installs, maintains, and operates emergency backup generators and electrical systems.
- Interacts with Laboratory administration and scientific staff in the performance of job duties.
- Performs tasks and duties as directed by the Electrical Services Manager. Why This Role Stands Out

Education & Training:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a vocational program or recognized electrical apprenticeship
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on electrical experience
Skills:
- Valid driver's license
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
