Production Bagger and House Keeping Position Summary The Production Bagger is responsible for accurately and efficiently packaging finished materials while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized plant environment. When bagging operations are not active, this role shifts focus to plant-wide housekeeping and cleanup to support overall operational efficiency and safety. Key Responsibilities Bagging & Production Duties Operate bagging equipment to fill, weigh, and seal product according to specifications Ensure proper labeling, palletizing, and staging of finished goods Monitor product quality during bagging and report any inconsistencies Maintain accurate counts and complete required production documentation Assist with material handling, including moving pallets and staging product for shipment Follow all safety and operational procedures during production activities Plant Cleanup & Maintenance Perform routine and deep cleaning of production areas, equipment, and workspaces Sweep, vacuum, and remove dust and debris from floors, machinery, and storage areas Dispose of waste materials in accordance with company and environmental guidelines Keep walkways, exits, and work areas clear and hazard-free Support basic preventative maintenance tasks as directed Identify and report any safety hazards or maintenance issues Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is an asset Ability to operate or learn bagging and material handling equipment Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work independently and stay productive during downtime Good communication and teamwork skills Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly Standing, walking, bending, and repetitive motion throughout the shift Comfortable working in a plant/industrial environment (dust, noise, varying temperatures) Work Environment Manufacturing/plant setting Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) Fast-paced production environment with periods of independent cleanup work Additional Expectations Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization at all times Demonstrate flexibility to switch between production and cleanup duties as needed Support team members and contribute to overall plant efficiency
