Job Description

Talascend is currently seeking a Material Coordinator for a contract opportunity with our client in Apex, North Carolina . Overview The material coordinator will be responsible for performing activities related to shipping, receiving, storing, delivering, transferring, reconciling, and cycle counting materials in accordance with cGMP procedures and regulations across multiple systems and sites. The role involves operating powered industrial vehicles and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards to support warehouse operations in a pharmaceutical or biotech environment. Responsibilities Execute critical warehouse operations related to shipping, receiving, storing, delivering, transferring, reconciling, and cycle counting materials per cGMP procedures and regulations. Use powered industrial vehicles (PIV) to move warehouse materials. Operate trucks (flat bed or panel) to move warehouse materials, hazardous materials, or general goods, following Department of Transportation regulations. Practice a positive, constructive, and ambitious work environment. Contribute to a safe workplace culture, ensuring safety and environmental requirements are met. Ensure materials are received, stored, and distributed according to current good manufacturing practices (cGMP), good distribution practices (GDP), and other regulations. Maintain documentation and execute GMP tasks in compliance with cGMP and GDP standards. Report risks and events to safeguard product quality and safety. Complete all required training prior to performing GMP activities. Assist in preparing areas for regulatory audits and inspections. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, programs, and projects. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Experience working within a warehouse and/or with material/inventory management. Aptitude to follow pre-determined SOPs and willingness to learn industry-specific documentation practices. Good communication skills and a positive attitude to establish rapport with team members. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a warehouse environment within pharmaceuticals or biotechnology. Basic knowledge of warehouse inventory management, SAP, and Microsoft Office. Understanding of Department of Transportation (DOT) and international shipping requirements (IATA). Ability to carefully follow complex written procedures. Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices or willingness to learn. Knowledge of Cold Chain distribution requirements. Ability to operate a forklift or other powered industrial vehicles. Attention to detail and strong documentation skills. We thank all applicants for their interest.
