Job Summary The Material Expediter will function in a logistics and production support role focused on ensuring the timely movement of materials, parts, and inventory between storage and production areas to meet operational schedules. Responsibilities Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, tugs, golf carts, pallet jacks) to receive, deliver, move, locate, relocate, stack, and count production and non-production parts. Read production schedules, inventory reports, and work orders to determine material types, quantities, availability, and order priorities. Direct or request information from other material handlers to expedite transfers between stock and production areas. Identify damaged parts in kits and notify the plant; hold incomplete kits until replacements are made. Unload inbound shipments, load outbound shipments, and move product to designated storage or staging areas. Perform picking and staging to ensure the exact number and type of product is ready for daily production. Operate equipment safely and efficiently, following prescribed work methods. Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct cycle counts, and ensure proper stock rotation. Verify received materials for part numbers, condition, and discrepancies. Assist in physical inventories and may perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements Required Minimum Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Required Years of Experience:

One (1) year of prior relevant experience required. Required Skills, Qualifications, Technical Experience, Certifications, etc.: Working knowledge of computer systems and computer administration. Must be a U.S. citizen with ability to pass a NASA background investigation. Must be able to pass an initial and random drug testing. Must have and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License. Skills, Qualifications, Technical Experience, Certifications, etc.: Four (4) years of prior relevant experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

Requires working both indoors and outdoors. Outdoor conditions may be in cold and hot temperatures, high humidity, and windy conditions. Sometimes requires lifting up to 35 - 50 pounds and working on uneven surfaces, and standing for long periods.
