Material Handler

Primary Responsibilities:
Assists in maintaining at a high degree of cleanliness in the production area in accordance with Third Party regulations. Always maintains raw materials (boxes, resins, tape, plastics bags, etc.) to the appropriate levels in production area. Stages raw material (resins, performs, boxes, bags, skids, etc.) for bottle packers and/or production equipment. Verify/Identifies raw materials and prepares them to be returned to inventory per in-house procedures if not required by the production floor. (Per the proper procedure for identification of the materials and/or inventory tags.) Maintain the scrap regrind area, by ensuring the area is clean, and regrind gaylords are maintained appropriately. Maintain used preform gaylords in an orderly fashion. Maintains scrap corrugation by shift end, by discarding or bailing. Assist with the operation of other downstream equipment under close direction of the Production Supervisor and/or an assigned person. Help set-up or removal of all secondary equipment for production (decorators, box erectors, tapers, etc.) as assigned. Helps clears line jams from equipment with no assistance. Completes all machine cleaning tasks, preforms, color change outs and/or contaminated material clean outs on equipment. Helps clears line jams from equipment. Assist co-workers w needed and/or be assigned additional tasks within this job classification and/or below classifications. Must have completed in-house/companies forklift certification. Requires constant visual attention ability to discern flaws in materials and finished goods (containers)Physical Requirements:
Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 25 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Must be able to lift to 40- 45 pounds above the head frequently and 45
- 50 pounds above the head occasionally.
