Material Handler, Service Distribution

What to Expect As a Material Handler, you will support the Product Distribution Warehouse within the Service Operations. This individual will be held responsible for understanding and adhering to all warehouse processes, inventory accuracy improvements, and general operational checks and balances of our global parts distribution operations. What You'll Do Accurately pick, scan, label, pack, audit, palletize, wrap, strap, and prepare outgoing materials for shipment using various methods and equipment to ensure secure and efficient transport Assemble crates/containers and stage materials for loading onto delivery vehicles, trailers, conveyor systems, or other transport methods Complete and process required documentation, including Inter-company Bills of Lading, to support compliant global parts distribution Utilize warehouse management systems to input, retrieve, update, and maintain real-time inventory accuracy and parts data Receive, stock, organize, and maintain inventory in correct bin locations while contributing to ongoing accuracy improvements and 5S standards Perform general housekeeping to keep the work area clean, safe, and organized in alignment with Tesla safety and operational protocols Safely operate material handling equipment (forklifts with provided training/certification, tuggers, pallet jacks, flatbed carts, etc.) to load/unload, move, and transport materials between warehouse areas, production floors, and vehicles while strictly following all safety guidelines What You'll Bring Previous material handling experience within a production, manufacturing, warehouse, or comparable environment preferred but not required Ability to learn new skills and adapt to new work environments Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal Open to schedule flexibility that will allow for a variety of shifts, including days, nights, overnight, and/or weekends as needed as well as potential overtime Comfortable driving and operating safety sensitive and heavy equipment such as forklifts, tuggers, pallet jacks and flatbed carts Successful completion of the hands-on forklift certification during new hire training and maintaining certification throughout employment Ability to maintain a safe and collaborative work environment. Maintains exemplary attendance and punctuality to scheduled shifts

Essential Physical Demands:

Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours/day Frequently and repetitively, lift, push and carry up to 50 lbs.
