Material Handler/Forklift Operator

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and material handling equipment to ensure efficient movement of goods within the manufacturing plant. This role will also be responsible for running heavy machinery and is crucial for maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting overall warehouse operations. Responsibilities Operate forklifts to move materials and products safely throughout the warehouse. Load and unload shipments from delivery trucks using appropriate equipment. Conduct regular inspections of forklifts and other equipment to ensure safety compliance. Proficiently operate heavy machinery such has notchers, croppers, sheers, and saws Assist with order picking and packing as needed to fulfill customer orders accurately. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and maintain organization within the facility. Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to all safety protocols and procedures. Participate in inventory management tasks, including stock rotation and cycle counts. Requirements Proven experience in materials handling within a warehouse or distribution center setting. Familiarity with operating pallet jacks, cranes, and other material handling equipment is advantageous. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately. Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team. Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift heavy loads, and navigate through warehouse spaces efficiently.
