Job Description

Job Summary The Material Recycler - Battery Processing & Recycling is responsible for safely receiving, sorting, processing, and preparing batteries and recyclable materials for recycling and disposal. This position involves battery decanting, material separation, warehouse operations, and maintaining compliance with all safety and environmental regulations. The Material Recycler will assist with daily recycling operations while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Responsibilities Receive, inspect, sort, and process incoming battery and recyclable materials Safely decant batteries and separate recyclable components and materials Identify and properly handle damaged, leaking, or hazardous materials Prepare recyclable materials for shipment, storage, or disposal Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and processing equipment as authorized Load and unload trucks, pallets, and containers Maintain accurate inventory and processing records Follow all OSHA, EPA, DOT, and company safety procedures Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the warehouse and processing areas Wear and maintain required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) Report spills, damaged materials, safety concerns, or equipment issues immediately Assist with general warehouse and recycling operations as needed Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred Previous warehouse, recycling, manufacturing, or material handling experience preferred (not required) Forklift experience preferred (not required) Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment Strong attention to detail and safety procedures Dependable with strong work ethic and attendance Physical Requirements Standing, bending, lifting, and walking for extended periods Ability to work in warehouse and industrial environments Exposure to dust, noise, and varying temperatures Ability to safely wear required PPE including gloves, safety glasses, respirators, and protective clothing when necessary

$20.00 per hour
