Materials Handler Level I

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for technically skilled candidates with excellent attention to detail for the position of materials handler. Under the direction of the warehouse manager, you will be responsible for accurately receiving and storing products, pulling products to prepare for shipping, loading and unloading delivery trucks, and documenting all inventory that you handled. You must always follow all company and governmental safety guidelines while in the warehouse.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Pick, pack, check, and load products accurately on/off trailers and to/from designated areas of facility. Ensure inventory accuracy by verifying and documenting the quantity and quality of items received and shipped. Ensure a safe working environment by following safety procedures and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment. Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, and packing of materials. Read work orders and determine work assignments or material or equipment needs. Communicate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective operations.

Performing Routine Maintenance:

Ensuring operational efficiency means performing regular maintenance on forklifts, which involves checking the machinery and carrying out basic maintenance tasks. Adaptability, plans and order of importance can switch in a moment's notice. Exposure to weather, cold / heat / rain will all be a factor in this job. Provide excellent customer service.

Level One:

Foundational Operations Core Responsibilities:

Accurately pick, pack, check, and load/unload products to and from trailers and designated facility areas. Maintain inventory accuracy by verifying and documenting item quantities and quality during receiving and shipping Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Perform basic material handling tasks including labeling, sorting, wrapping, and packing. Communicate effectively with team members to support smooth operations. Conduct routine maintenance on forklifts and other equipment; maintain cleanliness in assigned areas. Deliver excellent customer service through professionalism and responsiveness.

REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent. Forklift prior experience is required. Be able to use and read a measuring tape. Loading/Unloading experience. General understanding of safety protocols Attention to detail.
