Job Description

Wildlife Trapper / Trap Fabricator (Welder) Position Overview This is a hybrid, hands-on role combining shop fabrication and field wildlife work . You'll split time between building/repairing custom traps and actively deploying them in the field to capture and relocate nuisance wildlife. If you like working with your hands, being outdoors, and doing something different every day—this role is built for you. Key Responsibilities Fabrication & Welding (Shop Work) Build, modify, and repair wildlife traps (primarily steel) Perform MIG/Stick welding on custom trap systems Maintain tools, equipment, and shop organization Improve trap designs for efficiency and durability Wildlife Trapper (Field Work) Set, monitor, and remove traps across job sites Safely capture and relocate animals (beavers, raccoons, hogs, etc.) Assess properties for wildlife activity and damage Communicate with clients on-site when needed Maintain detailed job notes and reporting Requirements Welding experience (MIG preferred; Stick a plus) Comfortable working outdoors in all conditions Valid driver's license with clean driving record Ability to lift 50-100 lbs and work in rugged terrain Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills Reliable, punctual, and professional Preferred (Not Required) Experience with trapping, hunting, or wildlife control Mechanical or fabrication background Trailer towing experience Experience operating heavy machinary Compensation & Perks $28-$32/hour depending on experience Overtime opportunities (field work often generates OT) Performance-based bonuses Unique, non-repetitive work environment Opportunity to grow with a rapidly expanding company Schedule Full-time Mix of weekday shop time and flexible field work Occasional early mornings or weekend checks (as needed) Why This Role This isn't a typical welding job—and it's not a typical field job. $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
