What they do
A Military Specialist operates and maintains vehicles and mechanical equipment pertinent to mission success, whether on the sea, land or in the air. May monitor communication, detection, or weapons systems during operations. Interprets and evaluates tactical situations, making recommendations to supervisors. May operate weapons targeting, firing, and launch systems whether during combat or peacetime. In addition to their combat training, they have also specialized training in swimming, diving, parachuting, survival, emergency medicine, and foreign languages. Duties include conducting advanced reconnaissance operations and collecting intelligence information; recruiting, training, and equipping friendly forces; conducting raids and invasions on enemy territories; laying and detonating explosives for demolition targets; locating, identifying, defusing, and disposing of ordnance; and operating and maintaining sophisticated communications equipment.
Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities:
Specific tasks include the following support for the Military Sealift Command (MSC)Financial Team:
- Responsible for applying expert technical and functional knowledge of the Navy ERP System in performing operations of complex difficulty in order for the system to meet the ongoing Navy business operations requirements.
- Provides help desk ticket resolution support.
- Supports the management of master data.
- Provides a wide range of data analytics and reporting support for end users.
- Participates in release management including analysis of defects, solution design, testing, and deployment. Supports strategic planning of the operational impact of releases, upgrades, planned maintenance, schedules, standard operating procedures, and business process efforts.
- Provides production operation support including period end close, year end close, and interface processing.
- Facilitates working groups.
- Prepare documentation required for end-user training.
Qualifications:
- Secret Clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. A FINAL Secret adjudicated clearance is required to start.
- At least seven (7) years of professional experience with Navy ERP or SAP FI Module.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must work well independently; have the ability to interface with customers in senior/executive level positions.
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and must provide customer service both internally and externally.
- Familiarity with systems such as the National Help Desk Service Manager (NHDSM) or similar is desirable.
- Must have experience with Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Education Requirements :
- A Bachelor's degree
- A High School Diploma, and three (3) years of relevant experience with Navy ERP specific module experience can be substituted for the Bachelor's Degree.
