Typical duties includes:
- Installing, modifying, overhauling, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing ordnance equipment of moderate complexity or a system of limited complexity
- Working from instruction books, technical manuals, schematic drawings, blueprints, sketches, tech pubs, and follow specifications to determine what work needs to be performed and completes the task.
- Removing and installing/connects hydraulic, electrical and mechanical weapon systems to test stands for testing of gun systems in accordance to proper MIL SPEC and NAVSEA Spec
- Repairing or placing all components but, not limited to bushings, seals, gaskets, pneumatic, or hydraulic lines and fittings, various electrical resistors, and potentiometer so they meet manufacturer requirements Mandatory training is required which must be successfully completed and other training may occur as necessary for success in the position.
