Junior Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Analyst - NAS Patuxent River

The Position:

This position is awaiting contract award.



We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Junior Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Analyst to join our team supporting international defense cooperation programs for the F/A-18 variants program at NAS Patuxent River. In this foundational role, you will assist with the daily coordination, administrative tracking, and financial monitoring of active FMS cases for global partner nations. You will collaborate with senior analysts to gather and organize program data, helping ensure international requirements are met in compliance with Navy and Department of Defense (DoD) security cooperation policies.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in gathering, organizing, and tracking documentation for Letters of Request (LOR) and Letters of Offer and Acceptance (LOA) specific to F/A-18 platforms, modifications, and spare parts.
  • Populate and maintain case tracking matrices, delivery schedules, and action-item logs to report on the status of international partner aircraft deliverables.
  • Assist in monitoring basic financial metrics (obligations and expenditures) and verifying funding documents for mathematical accuracy against case budgets.
  • Help prepare informational briefs, agendas, and technical points papers, while tracking action items during international program reviews (PRMs) and stakeholder meetings.
  • Input and extract data from specialized defense security assistance databases under the guidance of senior staff.
Qualifications:
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance to access the airfield and military installation.
  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited institution.
  • 0 to 3 years of experience in data organization, basic financial tracking, or general administrative project support (prior defense internships or introductory NAVAIR program office experience is highly valued).
  • Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (data entry, basic sorting, and formulas) and PowerPoint.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, excellent written communication, and a strong desire to learn the DoD FMS lifecycle and NAVAIR processes.
