Meal Site Coordinator Hobe Sound, FL 33455 $16
- $18 an hour
- Part-time $16
- $18 an hour
Part-time Summary:
Responsible for all day-to-day operations at senior dining center to which employee is assigned.Job Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Ensure the cleanliness and security of the dining center. 2. Ensure health and safety standards are maintained at the dining center. 3. Supervise check-in of participants and dining reservation system. 4. Supervise serving of meals. 5. Establish rapport with participants to ensure a congenial and pleasant atmosphere is maintained. Seek participant feedback on likes or dislikes of menu and services. Keeps Manager, Meal Services advised of all responses. 6. Record contributions daily and assist with counting money when necessary. 7. Ensure that contribution envelope and box are available, and that contribution and food stamp posters are conspicuously displayed. 8. Ensure that the dining center is properly prepared for meal service in a timely manner 9. Ensure that the food delivered confirms to menu and is properly checked in. Record observation and comments. 10. Pick up meals from the central location for the Mel Site as needed. 11. Take meal temperatures daily and maintain temperature logs. 12. Deliver home delivered meals (when needed) to individuals Mon-Fri including holidays. 13. Prepare dining center reports. 14. Perform other duties as assigned by Reports Meal services supervisor,Director of Case Management & Meal Services Education/Experience:
1. High school graduate or equivalent (GED); Associate degree preferred. 2. Experience handling food preparation preferred.Technical Skills:
Ability to read, understand and learn procedures relevant to the position.Non-Technical Skills:
1. Ability to interact and effectively communicate with all levels of customers, staff, and the general public. 2. Projects integrity and personal values that create and build trust and evoke the highest standards of professional ethics. 3. Demonstrated attitude of professionalism and respect. 4. Ability to maintain confidentiality. 5. Excellent customer skills. 6. Ability to manage occasional stressful conditions and irregular hours 7. Demonstrates initiative and ability to work independently. 8. Successful completion of a level 2 background screening.Professional Representation:
Expected to maintain a clean, well-groomed appearance and dress appropriately for the position.General:
A. Occasional evening and weekend hours, as needed. B. Compliance with smoke-free, drug free workplace, safety requirements, ADA, funding source mandates and Council policies. C. Must have reliable transportation with acceptable insurance coverage and a valid Florida driver's license.Physical Demands:
