Job Description
Producers Midstream Management LLC is a private equity back midstream service provider based in Dallas, TX. We have an opportunity available for a Measurement Supervisor in Hobbs, New Mexico. SUMMARY The Measurement Supervisor reports directly to the Director - Measurement and is responsible for supervising the Measurement effort of the Company, in the field. This employee will be responsible for direct supervision of 2-10 employees. DUTIES and
RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: Supervising Measurement Technician and Contractor activities in the field, including but not limited to construction, operation and maintenance, in order to provide accurate and timely data to the Measurement Data System. (MDS) Responsible for overseeing installation, operation and maintenance for all measurement equipment, including functionality, accuracy, reliability, certifications and overall performance of metering devices, gas chromatographs, and communications equipment. Plans projects and designates accountability assignments, reviews progress, and directs changes in priorities and schedules to assure work is completed in an efficient and timely manner. Manages measurement capital projects in conjunction with Operations and Technical Support groups. Consults with Project Managers and other Corporate Support groups on major projects, budgets, and priorities. Ensures the completion of, reviews, and tracks progress of monthly calibrations, samples, and maintenance. Administer TESTiT application for calibrations Conducts performance reviews and resolves grievances. Provides training and leadership to measurement technicians to develop individual capabilities and support individual goals. Monitoring SCADA and MDS systems to identify and address potential issues. Participate in operational review of measurement policy, procedures, equipment specifications and facility design to ensure accuracy and reliability. Monitors adherence to the Measurement SOP's and suggests changes as needed. Consistently maintains and demonstrates a high regard for personal safety, for the safety of company assets, employees, and the general public as well as ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and industry practices relating to the Measurement Process. Participate in partnership safety program and initiatives. Maintain and adhere to required trainings, policies, and procedures. Actively participate in safety programs and initiatives. Comply with company safety policies and procedures. Must maintain valid driver's license in state of residency. Must live within 60 - 65 miles of reporting location to accommodate call outs. Respond to call outs no later than 2 hours from the time the call is sent. Maintain honest, respectful, and effective internal and external working relationships. Complete all training as directed by management Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Education and/orExperience:
Minimum 5 years' experience in natural gas industry. Bachelor's or Technical degree in Engineering, Business or other industry related field preferred. High school diploma or GED equivalent. Available by phone 24/7 to dispatch Measurement Techs to issues or emergencies as needed. Thorough understanding of industry best practices and industry standards and guidelines from AGA, API, GPA, DOT, RRC, OSHA, BLM, etc. Communicate effectively and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of customers, including Measurement Analysts, Producer customers and Management, at all levels both internal and external to the Company. The ability to understand meter schematics, pipeline flow characteristics, and to have a fundamental knowledge of field and pipeline operations Ability to develop and coordinate work schedules, focus attention on details; follow and enforce policy and adhere to prescribed work practices. Monitor system balance and balance groups and advise other Operations groups as required, to resolve issues to maintain measurement integrity. Assisting Field Operations group as necessary. Operating Company-owned vehicle in safe and responsible manner. Ability to: Self-motivated and able to work independently in a field setting with minimal direct supervision. Basic computer skills including proficiency with MS Outlook, SharePoint, Excel, and Word, as well as utilization of specialized software to interface with various types of Electronic Flow Meters (EFMs), Gas Chromatographs and other related equipment. Broad knowledge, technical expertise and work experience relating to requirements and responsibilities of this position. General knowledge of industry codes, regulations, company policies and practices. Effective oral and written communication skills. Willing and available to work overtime, including nights, weekends and holidays as necessary. Analytical and abstract thinking skills with the ability to quickly process information and solve problems. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Demonstrated self- starter with the ability to work independently and exercise good judgement. Ability to work in a 24/7 operational environment, shift rotations, and perform call outs. Must be able to react to high stress/emergency situations in a deliberate, thoughtful, and timely manner. Working ConditionsEnvironmental Conditions:
Frequent exposure to heat, cold, and other adverse weather conditions. Working conditions may include confined spaces. Occupational exposure to Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) above 10 PPMPhysical Conditions:
Repetitively standing, walking, bending, stretching, reaching over shoulder height, and climbing ladders up to 25 feet. Occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance. Work in and around industrial and construction settings, which may include hazardous products, processes, materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and may require appropriate personal protective equipment.
