Meat Cutter & Wrapper

Overview We're a family-owned butcher shop looking for reliable, hardworking team members to join our crew. We have multiple positions available — including meat processors (experienced or willing to learn) and Meat Wrappers & Shop Assistants.

Positions May Include:

Experienced Meat Processor / Cutter Break down primal cuts of beef, hogs, and lambs Make various cuts including steaks, roasts , and identify product for ground beef Skillfully cut, trim, and prepare meats to specifications and customer requests Wrap and package products to maintain freshness and quality Assist customers with product selection and provide knowledgeable, friendly service Follow all food safety, handling, and sanitation procedures Maintain clean work areas, tools, and equipment Meat Wrapper & Shop Assistant Main task: Meat wrapping and packaging Cleaning, organization, and general shop upkeep Assist with customer service and answering questions Help maintain sanitation standards and prevent cross-contamination Support proper storage of meat products and general organization Handle general odd jobs as needed around the shop Must be organized; willing to work with the right person to train Skills Strong knife skills with the ability to efficiently cut, trim, and portion meat cuts Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling techniques within the food industry Good people skills and good work ethic Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail If willing to learn - we can teach! Compensation Pay discussed at interview; experience with meat processing, cutting, or similar work is a plus and will be taken into consideration when discussing compensation. If you're dependable, willing to work, and want to learn a hands-on trade, we'd like to have you on our team.

Pay:

$17.00 - $22.00 per hour
