Job Overview:

Leroy Meats is looking for a reliable, customer-focused individual to join our team as a Deli & Meat Counter Associate. This position is a shared role between our fresh meat case and deli counter, assisting customers with a variety of needs while maintaining high standards of quality and service. We are seeking either one full-time team member or two part-time team members to start as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide excellent customer service at both the deli and fresh meat counters Assist customers with product selection, special requests, and custom orders Slice deli meats and cheeses to order and package products appropriately Maintain an attractive, clean, and well-stocked display in both departments Handle raw meat products safely and follow all food safety guidelines Operate scales, slicers, and other equipment properly Support daily operations including stocking, cleaning, and prep work Adapt to changing tasks and priorities between departments as needed

Qualifications:

Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask Willingness to learn and adapt to both deli and meat counter duties Dependable, team-oriented, and detail-focused Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs Previous deli, meat, or food service experience is a plus, but not required
