Position Summary:
This position will be responsible for the setup/tear down of the grinder and all the equipment necessary for processing.
Responsibilities:
Setup/tear down all equipment. Operate forklifts and process equipment. Add proper amount of ingredients to blends and for correcting batching of meat materials Safe handling of all material. Load product onto trucks. Empty and wash vats. Complete all necessary paperwork within the department. Keep the floor and work area clean at all times to include general housekeeping duties. Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements. Perform all positions of job rotation as needed. Perform any other work as assigned by management. Ability and willingness to perform basic math functions (i.e.: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). Ability and willingness to work overtime and/or weekends as needed. Ability and willingness to obtain a tow motor certification. Ability and willingness to scan or input into computer system, all product film, boxes, casings, clips, and ingredients for all daily product runs, including change overs. Ability and willingness to follow formulations on computer and accurately record and report food safety or product information.
Physical Requirements:
The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with rapid hand and eye coordination to move product on a conveyor and/or other processing equipment. Ability and willingness to flex/grip with wrist/hands frequently. Ability and willingness to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level 20 pounds or greater frequently. Ability and willingness to lift/lower/carry up to 20 pounds or greater with back and legs. Ability and willingness to stand/walk/climb/bend for up to 10 hours. Ability and willingness to work in wet conditions and cold temperatures at 35 degrees
