Meat & Sausage Production Position

The Position:

We're hiring a full-time Meat & Sausage Production employee with a high school diploma, excellent customer service skills and motivation. We will train you on the position. Our store hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. during the week. We require that you work the retail counter every 3rd Saturday and we are closed on Sundays. Responsibilities:

Primary tasks: Trimming and boning of beef, pork, lamb, etc. Patty making Curing hams and dried beef Grinding of beef, pork, lamb, etc. for stuffing Stuffing of hamburger and other products in chub form Weekly cleaning and sanitation of coolers Receiving and stocking of meat and other supplier shipments Daily and routine cleanup and sanitation of work areas and equipment Routine maintenance of meat cutting equipment, tools and supplies Work the retail counter every 3rd Saturday Secondary tasks: Sausage hanging and smoking Retail - assist as customer volume and staff shortages demand General - assist other areas to accommodate needs of the day or moment and other duties as determined by management

Requirements:

A high school diploma A professional appearance Self-motivated and solution-oriented Attention to detail Maintain a positive attitude and focus on customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment The ability to communicate effectively and perform basic math The ability to stand and walk for 8 to 10 hours per day.
