Full Job Description Job Summary:

A skilled professional who diagnoses, repairs, and maintains vehicles and machinery. Inspect engines, brakes, and other components to identify issues, perform repairs or replacements, and ensure that vehicles operate safely and efficiently. Mechanics may work on cars, trucks, or industrial equipment, using specialized tools and knowledge of mechanical systems.

Duties/Responsibilities:

General diesel mechanical repairs for trucks, tractors, and forklift Familiarity with body work, and paint Ability to drive a tractor trailer, switcher, and manual transmission Ability to operate heavy duty forklift General trailer repairs, including brakes and lights Can operate a computer to print registration, inspections and insurance cards for drivers Can manage and create a work schedule Valid driver's license, make road calls to our other facilities as well as roadside repairs Familiar with aluminum welding and steel Can change tractor trailer tires Tools for trucks and trailers repairs Fluent in both Spanish and English Flexible with schedule- overtime if needed Write up repairs in English for DOT purposes of keeping records on equipment

Required Skills/Abilities:

Repair Chassis, Trailers, lights, mud flaps and Tires Maintenance to power units Mechanical body work Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong supervisory and leadership skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent. At least two years' related experience required.

$30.00 per hour
