In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of industrial equipment and machinery to ensure optimal operational performance. Your expertise will help keep production lines running smoothly, minimize downtime, and uphold safety standards across the facility. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, pneumatic systems, and electrical components. Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and analysis skills to identify root causes swiftly. Operate precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools to assess system performance. Conduct welding tasks, including welding techniques, ensuring high-quality workmanship and safety compliance. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and update work orders accordingly. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize equipment performance and implement process improvements. Utilize field service skills to diagnose and repair high voltage and low voltage electrical systems safely in accordance with industrial electrician standards. Support the installation of new machinery and upgrades while adhering to schematics and technical specifications. Operate various lifting devices such as scissor lifts safely during maintenance tasks involving elevated work areas like HVAC/R units or heavy machinery. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with team members and supporting technical sales initiatives when required. Experience Proven industrial mechanic experience within a manufacturing facility environment. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems (including high voltage), and HVAC/R systems. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics interpretation, and troubleshooting electrical circuits using ammeters and ohmmeters. Hands-on experience with welding techniques specific to welding standards or similar practices. Knowledge of industrial maintenance procedures, safety protocols, and CMMS software for work order management. Ability to analyze complex mechanical issues efficiently using analysis skills combined with technical expertise. Experience working in field service roles or supporting customer service initiatives is advantageous. Military background or training in industrial electrician practices adds valuable insight into high-voltage systems and safety procedures.
