Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanic to join our dynamic manufacturing facility team. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and repair of industrial equipment and machinery. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in industrial maintenance, electrical and mechanical systems, and a passion for troubleshooting complex issues. As a key player in our team, you will help maintain high standards of safety, efficiency, and reliability across our operations. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing equipment and machinery to minimize downtime. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues using schematics, technical manuals, and analysis skills. Utilize precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools to assess equipment performance. Operate and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial electricians' tools, and low/high voltage systems to ensure optimal functionality. Conduct welding (including <

> welding) and fabrication tasks using various welding techniques to repair or modify equipment components. Read and interpret schematics, technical diagrams, and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) records to plan maintenance activities effectively. Support field service operations by troubleshooting on-site issues involving hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, scissor lifts, and other industrial equipment. Collaborate with technical sales teams when necessary to provide expert advice on equipment repairs or upgrades. Maintain detailed maintenance logs, safety records, and compliance documentation in accordance with industry standards. Skills Extensive experience working within a manufacturing facility environment with a focus on industrial mechanics and maintenance. Proficiency with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, and electrical troubleshooting including high voltage systems. Strong knowledge of hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, welding techniques ( welding), and precision measuring instruments like ammeters and ohmmeters. Ability to analyze complex mechanical issues quickly and develop effective solutions using analysis skills. Experience with CMMS software for scheduling maintenance tasks and tracking repairs. Hands-on experience with industrial electrician work involving low voltage electrical systems and troubleshooting electrical circuits. Knowledge of safety protocols related to industrial maintenance including working at heights (scissor lifts), high voltage environments, and low voltage electrical systems. Excellent customer service skills for interacting with internal teams or external clients during field service operations. Military background or experience is considered an asset due to discipline and technical training in industrial mechanics or electrical systems.
