Mechanic I - Bowling 3.6 3.6 out of 5 stars 49500 Seminole Drive, Cabazon, CA 92230 Morongo Casino Resort & Spa 313 reviews The Mechanic I - assists with the basic maintenance and operation of bowling equipment, including pinsetters, ball returns, and scoring systems. This entry-level position performs routine cleaning, inspections, and simple repairs under the guidance of senior mechanics. The Mechanic I supports smooth lane operations by identifying issues, reporting malfunctions, and helping maintain a safe, efficient, and enjoyable environment for guests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs routine cleaning and basic upkeep of pinsetters, ball returns, scoring systems, and lane equipment. Assists Mechanic II and III with inspections, preventive maintenance, and simple mechanical repairs. Responds to minor lane or scoring malfunctions and completes basic troubleshooting tasks. Monitors equipment performance and promptly reports issues requiring advanced repair. Helps ensure lanes meet operational standards for safety and playability. Maintains a clean and organized work area, including the machine room and maintenance spaces. Assists with documenting maintenance activities, part usage, and repair notes. Adheres to all safety procedures and lock-out/tag-out requirements. Supports special events, leagues, and tournaments by preparing lanes and equipment as directed. Performs other duties as assigned to support overall center maintenance operations.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but may provide guidance or support to other team members.QUALIFICATIONS
Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn bowling machinery and systems. Ability to follow instructions, retain technical training, and work safely around moving equipment. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable, punctual, and professional in all interactions. EDUCATION and/orEXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Technical training or vocational coursework in mechanics, electronics, or a related field is preferred. One-year related experience in Bowling Center management, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working with pinsetter machines, scoring systems, or amusement/entertainment mechanical systems preferred. Basic knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance practices. Experience in a fast-paced environment requiring timely repairs and responsive problem-solving strongly preferred. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and safety procedures required.LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have successfully completed a background check and obtained a gaming license issued by the Morongo Gaming Agency, as required.LANGUAGE SKILLS

Morongo Casino Resort & Spa operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year; therefore, flexibility in scheduling is essential. Team members must be available to work shifts that may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
