Full Job Description Description:
Job purpose: The 2nd Shift Mechanic- Set-up Operator is responsible for set-up, maintenance and repairing production equipment as needed.
Duties and responsibilities:
Set up and prepare FlowMaster mail inserting equipment for daily production runs. Calibrate and adjust equipment to ensure accurate operation and high-quality finished mail pieces. Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency. Respond quickly to paper jams and other machine interruptions to keep production running smoothly. Configure machine settings based on job specifications, including feed type, speed, and print requirements. Monitor equipment performance during production and take immediate corrective action when issues arise. Partner with machine operators and production staff to diagnose equipment problems and implement effective solutions. Maintain a safe work environment by following all company policies, safety procedures, and operational guidelines.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of experience and education. Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent Ability to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
