Mechanical Assembler I Location:
Vista, CA 92081 (On-site)
Pay Rate:
$26.00/Hr on W-2
Duration:
6 Months (Contract) Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Assembler I to join our manufacturing team in Vista, CA. This position is responsible for building high-quality cables, harnesses, panels, and enclosures using blueprints, schematics, hand tools, and soldering equipment within a standard 5S manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities Assembly & Soldering:
Assemble cables, harnesses, panels, enclosures, and small sub-assemblies. Solder wires, PCBAs, and components.
Blueprints & Schematics:
Read and interpret work instructions, technical drawings, and schematics to install components accurately.
Wiring & Fabrication:
Measure, cut, strip, and route wires on panels and/or enclosures using basic hand and power tools.
Quality & Testing:
Utilize measuring tools (multi-meters, continuity checkers, calipers, tape measures) to verify product conformity. Conduct self-quality checks and participate in peer reviews. Documentation & 5
S:
Complete build records and documentation. Maintain workspace cleanliness and organization utilizing 5S methodologies.
Required Qualifications Experience:
3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or Research & Development (R D) environment.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Certifications:
Current or expired IPC certification ( IPC-620, IPC-610, IPC-7711, IPC-7721, or J-STD ).
Technical Skills:
Strong ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) awareness and standard computer proficiency for daily documentation and task tracking. Key Competencies High attention to detail and a strong focus on quality. Ability to complete work efficiently in a timely, fast-paced environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to support a positive team culture.
