Overview We have an immediate need for a Mechanical Engineer in Newton, MA. Come join our team! Our client is looking to build services and capabilities through the growth of their key asset- their staff. Responsibilities Design and develop HVAC systems for commercial, industrial, municipal and healthcare facilities. Conduct site visits, inspections, field surveys to support design and construction phases. Preparation of construction documents, including drawings, specifications, riser diagrams and load calculations. Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including architectural, electrical, plumbing, structural and other team members. Review of submittals and RFIs during construction administration Serve as Project Engineer and Project Manager on smaller, less complex projects Use engineering and design computer software to complete assigned work (i.e. Autodesk Revit MEP & AutoCAD) Qualifications Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering. 3-7 years of relevant HVAC design experience. Working knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., ICC, NFPA, ASHRAE). Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and load calculation software. EIT certification; PE license preferred or in progress. Strong communication and organizational skills.Preferred Skills:
Ability to work independently with general instructions / guidance from senior engineers to produce the expected results Experience with sustainable design and LEED-certified projects. Self-motivated with the ability to multitask to meet specific project deadlines. Ideal candidate would have project management experience.Our Culture:
