Mechanical Engineer

A manufacturing company based in Lake Zurich, Illinois, specializing in directional drilling equipment, is seeking a Design Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop mechanical components and systems with a focus on quality and cost efficiency. Drive continuous improvements in design processes and manufacturing methods. Prepare technical documentation, including drawings, bills of materials, manuals, and specifications. Provide technical support to production teams and customers, including troubleshooting when needed.

Qualifications:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering. At least 2-3 years of experience in mechanical design within a manufacturing setting, ideally involving drilling or heavy mobile equipment. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, and Microsoft Office. A basic knowledge of hydraulic systems is required.
