Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Conduct fundamental and applied research to improve or generate new products, components, equipment, systems, tests, requirements, and processes. Drive projects by maintaining focus across disciplines and functions on key design aspects, customer needs, system requirements, testing, product growth, and technological trends. Apply deep knowledge across multiple engineering disciplines to lead product innovation and development. Assemble and test prototypes, integrating mechanical and electrical components. Interpret and create detailed mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics. Sustain and support designs across the entire product life cycle. Communicate and collaborate clearly both verbally and in writing. Complete Role Standard Work and deliver all other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

Proficiency in CAD tools (Siemens NX preferred or SolidWorks), Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with 3D printing technologies and rapid prototyping. Hands-on experience assembling and troubleshooting electromechanical prototypes preferably sensors. Hands-on experience in assembly, machining, soldering, and related fabrication techniques for electromechanical component development and testing. Experience in testing electromechanical sensors and systems in automation and control systems programming (e.g., PLCs). Experience with sensor design and integration is a strong plus. Experience in designing water quality monitoring equipment or components is preferred. Multi-disciplinary engineering expertise with a strong foundation in mechanical, electrical, and flow mechanics. Be able and willing to work in a fast-paced, agile product development environment—wear multiple hats, be resourceful, and take initiative to get the job done with minimal supervision

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field. 5+ years of relevant industrial experience in product development, preferably in sensor and automation industries. The employee is frequently required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Salary Range:
