Currently we are hiring Mechanical QAQC Engineers to support a large scale mission critical project in North Dakota .
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage the Mechanical QA/QC plan in line with project specifications, standards, and contract requirements.
- Review mechanical drawings, method statements, ITPs, and material submittals.
- Inspect installation of HVAC systems (chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, AHUs), chilled water piping, ductwork, and pressurization systems.
- Verify installation of fire protection systems (FM-200/Novec, sprinklers, pre-action systems) and fuel oil systems.
- Monitor FAT, SAT, pressure testing, flushing, cleaning, and pre-commissioning activities.
- Witness testing and commissioning of mechanical systems and integrated systems testing (IST).
- Identify non-conformances, issue NCRs, and verify corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate with construction, commissioning, electrical, and client teams on quality-related matters.
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, local codes).
- Maintain QA/QC documentation, inspection reports, and final handover dossiers.
Authority:
You have authority to stop the job if you feel there is an unsafe work practice which could result in a risk of injury, have an environmental impact or risk to equipment and other personnel.Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- 5+ years of QA/QC experience in mission-critical or data center projects.
- Strong knowledge of data center mechanical systems, redundancy (N+1, 2N), and cooling strategies.
- Familiarity with QA/QC procedures, ITPs, FAT/SAT, testing, and commissioning processes.
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and test documentation.
- Working knowledge of relevant international and local mechanical standards.
- Strong coordination, reporting, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with clients and contractors. Benefits
