Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Med Tech/Caregiver to provide exceptional support and medical assistance to individuals in various care settings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in senior care, assisted living, and medical documentation, with a passion for enhancing the quality of life for those with diverse needs. This role offers an opportunity to work closely with patients, families, and healthcare teams to deliver personalized care that promotes dignity, independence, and well-being. Responsibilities Assist residents and patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, mobility, and personal hygiene, ensuring comfort and safety. Administer medications and treatments accurately according to physician orders, maintaining detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature; report any abnormalities promptly to healthcare professionals. Support individuals with specialized needs such as Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or other memory impairments through tailored care strategies. Operate electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner to document patient care activities thoroughly and accurately. Provide assistance with medical procedures including catheter care, tube feeding, and other nursing tasks under supervision or within scope of practice. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines for assisted living and nursing home settings. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams in home care, hospice, acute care, or community-based programs to ensure comprehensive patient support. Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home health environments is highly desirable. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic nursing practices essential for patient care. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation of medical records and treatment plans. Experience caring for individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges enhances the ability to deliver targeted support. Proven ability to handle sensitive information while maintaining strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards. Background in hospice or memory care settings is advantageous for providing compassionate end-of-life support and dementia-specific interventions. Strong caregiving skills complemented by excellent communication abilities to foster trust and rapport with patients and their families.
