Position:
Media Associate (3-5); $12.72Qualifications:
Previous experience working with media materials / equipment. High school diploma or equivalent.Essential Function:

Teachers, support staff and parentsPosition Goal:
To help provide a well-organized, smoothly functioning media center environment in which teachers and students can take full advantage of available resources.Performance Responsibilities:
Attendance is necessary to be successful in this position. Complete simple repairs on damaged books Assists teachers with materials at teacher's request. Assist with scheduling use and delivery of media. Send out overdue notices Shelve materials. Assist with the annual inventory of media center materials and the preparation of lists of missing materials and materials to be discarded. Check-in new materials and equipment (unpack, verify invoices, process.)(•) Suggest ordering and maintaining supplies. Oversee the general neatness and attractiveness of the media center. Assist students in locating and using materials / equipment and work at the circulation desk as needed. Assist students with the usage of technology. Maintaining proper student discipline in accordance to IBI Guidelines for Success. Consults with Technology coordinator concerning computer management and operation. Organize and promote two book fairs per year. Plan and implement library activities for all students which may include storytime, and book talks. Performs other duties as assigned.Terms of Employment:
Days students are in school and on approval by Superintendent and/or designee as needed before and after the school year. Wage schedules shall be subject to annual review and modification by the Glenwood Board of Education or through the collective bargaining process, where one exists.Evaluation:
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Classified Staff Evaluation.Position Type:
