Job Description
Are you looking to work in a clinic that prioritizes quality patient care over patient volume? Our growing Dermatology practice is seeking a dedicated and team-oriented Medical Assistant to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate is professional, dependable, and committed to providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Create a professional, welcoming environment that enhances patient care and satisfaction Room and interview patients to document chief complaints and medical histories Prepare exam rooms and assist the physician during exams, procedures, and treatments, including skin biopsies, minor surgical procedures, and cosmetic services Accurately document physical exams and treatment plans in the electronic health record (EHR) system Obtain informed consent for procedures and treatments, and provide pricing information as needed Deliver thorough post-care instructions to patients Label, log, and process patient specimens (biopsies, tissue cultures, etc.) Clean and restock exam rooms and sterilize instruments after each patient Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (required) Prior Medical Assistant experience (required) Dermatology experience (preferred) Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) (preferred) Experience using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems (required) U.S. work authorization (required) Skills Professional bedside manner and excellent customer service skills Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities Respectful, honest, and dependable Ability to anticipate physician needs and understand patient flow Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations Reliable and able to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting
Work Schedule Clinical Days:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM; one Saturday per month from 9:00 AM to 1:00PM Non-Clinical Days:
