Job Description

Equity is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant to join a busy family practice clinic in Rowlett, TX. This role is responsible for supporting physicians and clinical staff while delivering high-quality patient care in a professional healthcare environment.
Responsibilities:
Perform duties within the scope of a Medical Assistant's practice Room patients according to clinic policies and prepare patients for examination Obtain and document patient information accurately in the medical record Perform venipuncture and capillary blood specimen collection Conduct EKGs and operate diagnostic equipment (without interpreting results) Administer non-IV medications as directed Perform noninvasive specimen collection procedures Complete quality control checks on clinical equipment Coordinate patient care following physician direction and company policies Maintain patient confidentiality and provide courteous patient care Organize, stock, and clean exam and treatment rooms Follow standard infection control and safety precautions
Qualifications:
Required:
Current and active Medical Assistant Certification Experience performing venipuncture, EKGs, and specimen collection Strong documentation and patient care skills Excellent communication and organizational abilities Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
